Patuxent Roughnecks will be on the water to maintain signage, clear paddling snags and fish passage blockages in the central areas of the Patuxent River. A great chance to see lesser traveled sections of the Patuxent, uncommonly beautiful terrain and get some exercise. Come join us on the area only standing water trail maintenance crew! Contact Lauren at 301-249-8200 ext 6 or Lauren@paxriverkeeper.org to RSVP (location will be determined based on water levels the week prior to the work trip).

Join the Friends of Myrtle Point Park in two special clean up days. This spring's annual river clean up included a dead Osprey tangled in fishing line. To help this and other species survive our poor habits we are targeting fishing line along the beach. We will be getting into the grass and shrubs so long sleeves, pants, good shoes, and gloves are a good bet. A small pocket knife will suffice for removing the line.
